Anchor Lock and weir, Brighouse
The weir was probably originally for the Clifton corn mill, but later maintained the water level for the navigable reach from here up to the Brighouse canal basin. The M62 motorway viaduct is in the distance.

Kirklees Cut End Flood Gates 27
Calder and Hebble Canal - unnavigable section of River Calder flows to the left of the shot and over a weir. The man-made cut section of the navigation joins via the flood gates which are only shut to protect properties along this section.

Anchor Pit Flood Lock
At the western end of the Kirkless Cut, on the Calder and Hebble Navigation as it approaches Brighouse.
The lock is usually kept open.
