This station recently reopened after being closed for decades. It is on the line from Huddersfield to Halifax, which fortunately had been kept open for goods traffic.

Rush hour at Brighouse station
The train seen here on a wet morning was forming the 08.28 to Leeds via Halifax. The passengers on the other platform were not all commuters though: most were waiting for a "Green Express" charter train.
