The Northern Belle
A special rail tour called The Northern Belle was captured at Colnebridge in West Yorkshire with two preserved diesel class 47 locomotives. The leading locomotive newly painted in colours for the special rail tour. The Standedge trans-pennine line splits at this point to join onto the Calder Valley line.

Junction Lock No 1, Huddersfield Broad Canal
Seen from the river towpath just to the west. Further progress down the river to the left could end in disaster, as this only leads to the weir.

New sewage treatment tanks, Hartshead
I think these are probably filter beds, but can't be sure without going up to have a look. They are on land that was, I believe, sludge beds belonging to Brighouse sewage works, although the land is actually within the boundary of Hartshead (formerly in Spenborough UDC). The road is the A62.
