Longwood Bowling Club
Crown-green bowling is the sport/pastime/obsession practised here. My mother and step-father were both members and team bowlers here. In memory of her husband my mother presented a cup for an annual competition in his name - The Clem Allen Trophy/Cup. I had my first taste for bowling here as a teenager in the 1950s.

Parkwood Mills
Seen through the gateway of the chapel opposite. The chimney is a beauty with a tall square bottom section and a relatively short octagonal top section with an intact oversailing cap. There are very few chimneys left in the Colne Valley and it is significant that the developers have taken the trouble to spare this (it's probably listed).

Parkwood Mills
This former woollen mill complex is now largely converted to housing and more is due to be built in front of this part. A pleasant silhouette shot.
