Steps below Farnham Castle
Looking down from the steps at the castle wall, you can see a series of short flights of steps and level sections. There is a story that one of the Bishops who lived in the castle was blind, and had this built with flights of 7 steps and 7 paces between the flights, so he could find his way up the steps easily.
