Galley Grove, Rogate, West Sussex
View of the bridleway in Galley Grove from a path junction 250m north of Rogate Lodge. The grove is named after a customs officer William Galley who was tortured and murdered by the Hawkhurst Gang in 1748 and buried, possibly still alive, in a fox earth in the grove.
