The centre of Liphook, with the Royal Anchor Hotel in the background.
The Royal Anchor dates from the 16th C. with a pub previously being on the site since the 14th C. This was an important stop on the London-Portsmouth coaching route and lists Wellington, Nelson, Lady Hamilton and Queen Victoria among its past residents.
