Situated at the East end of Pound Street car park, this TE is of a standard design dating from the late 1960s. Besides Petworth, this TE also serves Byworth, Duncton, Gunter's Bridge, Tillington and Upperton nearby. Its numbering range is (01798) 34xxxx, the (01798) referring to the Pulborough group of TEs, and its postcode is GU28 0ES.

On Pound Street, by the junction of the A285 and A272. A substantial red-brick house of c1790, now used as offices by an antiques company. Grade II* listed.
Round the corner can be seen chequered brickwork, much favoured in this area.

The timber-framed cottage is also to be seen in Les Whitcomb's contribution http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2151192 - a photo taken 60 years earlier. The cottage itself appears to have changed very little, though the lamp-post is new, and the tile-hung building in the foreground has lost its covering of ivy (or Virginia creeper).
The view is towards the southern exit from the town, and the Chichester road.
