There are several of these futuristic looking street lights in the small car park, near the roundabout at the junction of the A247 and B382 roads. The lights have solar panels to take in sunlight during the day.

Harveys Water Softeners, Old Woking
This company produces compact water softening systems for domestic use. The company has been in existence for over 30 years, under various names. It started manufacturing its own softeners in 2001, and has been so successful that it opened a new factory here in 2006. It is another example of a British owned company, based in Old Woking, that actually manufactures things. Old Woking isn't perhaps a place one would assume to be a manufacturing town, but in fact it is. The company's official address is Hipley Street, but the complex also has a frontage to High Street, which is the one shown in this photo.
