The High Street outside the station entrance has a huge canopy covering the road. Woking is a "railway town", having expanded in Victorian times around its main line station.

Christ Church

Woking Willow Sculptures
These sculptures of two cyclists made from willow were created by Sara Holmes. They were part of a 65 strong peloton of cyclists created by Sara and 5,000 schoolchildren to celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games. The peloton was displayed at several locations, the last two being a permanent reminder of the event.
