The Dead Centre of Woking?
Looking along Chertsey Road towards Woking Railway Station with its modern canopy over the road. Woking station was first built in the 1830s and the town mushroomed thereafter. The railway was soon followed by the building of a cemetery, necropolis and crematorium - an early London overspill.

Woking and Guildford Circular
An Alder Valley bus working the Woking - Guildford service passes along The Broadway along side Woking railway station. The row of buildings behind the bus remain largely unchanged but the building on the left of the photo has been demolished and replaced with a 4-storey office block. The bus is a Ford R1014 with Plaxton bodywork.
