Christmas in the Friary
Guildford's multi-level Friary Shopping Centre has a central square, seen here with long, hanging Christmas decorations. There was once a Dominican Friary on this site till the Dissolution, followed much later by the Friary Brewery (ca 1870-1974).

White Lion Walk
Guildford's White Lion Walk is a covered shopping arcade connecting High and North Streets. It takes its name from one of the borough's former coaching inns, the White Lion. The only remnant of this is this figure high above the North Street entrance. Christmas decorations surround it.
