The Alexandra (1), 74 Victoria Road, Farnborough
There has been much redevelopment in this area, but this old pub has fortunately been spared. As well as food and drink, the pub also has accommodation available. Image Image

The Alexandra (2), 74 Victoria Road, Farnborough
The wooden structure next to the building is presumably a smoking shelter. It wouldn't be much fun standing out there in the winter months. Image Image

The Alexandra pub sign, 74 Victoria Road, Farnborough
The pub is named after Queen Alexandra, the wife of King Edward VII. Prior to her husband becoming King in 1901, Alexandra was Princess of Wales from 1863 to 1901. This was the longest time anyone had held that title. During this long period, Alexandra became very popular with the British public, so it is not surprising to find a pub named after her. She died in November 1925. Image Image
