I expected there to be other such images, only to discover the statue was unveiled on the centenary anniversary of his death on 7 August 2013.
I quote "... the first successful pilot to carry out a sustained controlled flight in Great Britain in 1908 in a powered heavier-than-air flying machine"
Died in an air crash in 1913.
