Star Inn
Historic Guildford inn at the corner of High Street and Quarry (formerly South) Street. This was once called Star Corner. Records go back to 1684 but the first definite mention of this pub is dated 1723. The modern frontage in the background leads into White Lion Walk, an indoor shopping mall.

The Star Inn was originally the Corn Exchange for Guildford, but was converted into a public house in the early 18th century. It proclaims that Shepherd Naeme Ltd as being Britain's oldest brewer !
