"Alice Through the Looking Glass", Guildford
Sculpture in Guildford Castle grounds based on the Alice character in Lewis Carroll books. Lewis Carroll lived nearby in The Chestnuts, Guildford and is buried in the borough too, in The Mount cemetery. In the background is Guildford Castle.

Lewis Carroll Death Centenary
Lewis Carroll lived and died in Guildford. He is buried in the cemetery in The Mount. These floral sculptures of Alice and the Queen stood by the war memorial in the Castle Gardens.

Bishop's Palace Arch
Guildford Castle seen through the arch. The Great Keep sits on a motte and was often used by English kings for B&B on their travels between London and Winchester. The palace fell within the see of the Bishop of Winchester but today the borough has its own bishop.
