Burnet Avenue, Burpham
Part of a neighbourhood of similar roads and housing between London Road and the railway. The housing is nearly all in this red brick style while the roads are surfaced with a sort of pebble and concrete mix which gives them a distinctive pale appearance. This look is obviously a part of the place because subsequent road works have been resurfaced with a similar material rather than spoiling the appearance with tarmac.
