Frensham Little Pond, northernmost end
This little pool, for the most part enclosed by Phragmites and other tall vegetation, is to be found at the northern end of the Little Pond, close to the minor road. If the reedbed is allowed to spread further, it could - before long - cut this little arm off from the main body of water. As there are pike and other large fish in the main pond this could have conservation benefits, provided the pool can be kept from drying out completely.
Flowering in amongst the reeds is what looks - to me - like purple loosestrife, Lythrum salicaria.
