Quiet, apart from the Noise
The lovely Cotswold stone villages of Kencot and Broadwell should be as rural and tranquil as they look, but they are continually blasted by these big fat aircraft lumbering into Brize Norton airfield a short distance away. I don't know if there was something special on today, but they were coming over every few minutes. I guess if you live here you get used to it, but for me as a visitor it was, as they say, doing my head in.

Kencot Village Sign
On a small green by the war memorial, the sign features a centaur slaying a dragon. It is based on a carving in the nearby parish church. More about Kencot on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kencot
