Metal plate attached to stone post by the A417, in parish of LECHLADE (COTSWOLD District), gully 157 yds West of entrance to Butlers Court, by the road, on South side of road. Cirencester iron plate, erected by the Cirencester to St John's Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Butler's Court farmhouse, Lechlade
Grade II Listed mid-late 17th century Cotswold stone farmhouse. http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-129006-butlers-court-with-gatepiers-and-wall-to The stone slate roof has coped verges and ashlar chimney stacks with moulded cornices, including a ridge stack to the south-west front with diagonally-set paired flues. The entrance front to the south-east has a moulded stone cornice and parapet to link a 4-bayed coursed stone extension to the right to two original rubble stone bays to the left. There are six 12-pane sashes on the first floor with moulded stone surrounds, the four to right having large flush stone lintels. The ground floor has five similar windows, the two to the left with a single relieving arch over them. There is a flat-arched doorway to the left of centre with moulded stone jambs and lintel. The listing includes the pair of ashlar gatepiers with flattened pyramidal finials and the coped rubble stone wall that sweeps up to them.
