The second complete church (after Llangrove) by G.F. Bodley, described in Pevsner as 'assured' and 'a foretaste of his future masterpieces'. The patron was Thomas Keble and the church was built in 1856-7. The east end view shows how Bodley dealt with the extreme slope of the site.
