Frogmarsh Mill
The mill was already in use by 1658 and continued producing cloth until mid 1800s. The buildings date from the 19th Century. The Woodchester area was ideal for cloth manufacture because of deep valleys and rapid streams in this part of the Cotswolds.

Frogmarsh Mill
A former woollen mill now in multiple occupancy. The site dates back at least to the 17th century and this is the oldest surviving part with features suggesting a possible domestic origin. Although originally used in the woollen trade, it became a pin manufactory from about 1863 to 1934 and then a tannery. The current aerial view suggests it is used by a variety of companies. In the background is the circular building, now a house, that has variously been referred to as a wool drying stove or a teazel tower.

Frogmarsh Mill - former wool drying stove
An iconic building of the Gloucestershire woollen industry that has now been turned into a house. From this angle the extensions are invisible. This is not a teasel drying or handle house as I believe it has been labelled elsewhere. The main mill is to the right and is largely still in industrial use.
