Smith's of Bourton tearooms & restaurant
Originally two 17th or early 18th Century cottages, and granted a Grade II listing https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101088716-the-spinning-wheel-bourton-on-the-water#.WaVRAT596M8 in 1983, at which time it was known as The Spinning Wheel (presumably also a restaurant). The hipped-roofed extension to the right-hand frontage is a relatively modern addition to the former cottages.

Smiths, Victoria Street, Bourton-on-the-Water
Grade II Listed as "The Spinning Wheel" it is probably 17th century with 18th century alterations and modern shop fronts. The Spinning Wheel was still here in 1997 but by 2004 it appears to have been 'Hidden Treasures'. In 2009 it was closed and for rent with signage for Nonsuch books music and gifts. Change of use was approved to restaurant/cafe in October 2010 and by April 2011 it was named Mulberries Tea Rooms. 2014, with the same logo, it became Smiths of Bourton. The current sign claims it to be established in 2014 but on their website Smiths claim to have been established in 2020 (probably when the logo/signage changed). Smiths Of Bourton Ltd was incorporated on 24th June 2014 and dissolved via voluntary strike-off 20th February 2018.

Parish offices
Run on a voluntary basis, local parishioners comprise the council here. Not sure what the estate agents' sign is about though as they have not moved out. Note the Bledisloe Cup awards presented by the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England.

Keeping the modern under wraps
The village of Bourton-on-the-Water generates a lot of tourist income from its delightfully rustic appearance and copious use of Cotswold stone. The sub-station is neatly behind some lap fencing.
