The village of Lower Swell
The village's war memorial is on this green triangle. The architect of the war memorial was Sir Edwin Lutyens, who also was responsible for the Cenotaph in Whitehall in London. The war memorial is Grade II listed, see: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1089867?section=official-list-entry. The bench within the bus shelter commemorates the Coronation of King George VI in 1937.
