Combe near Combend Manor
From the minor road north of Combend Manor. The combe is still a dry valley here, due to the porous rock. As the road is in a dip the water has accumulated and frozen, thus leaving a nice sliding patch all across the road surface.

Copse near Combend Manor
The copse is used for pheasant rearing. Only one thing has changed in nearly three years since Bob Embleton took this picture Image], the huts have gone. But the blue tarpaulin is still there!
