Agg Gardner recreation ground
Presented to Cheltenham Corporation by James Agg Gardner in 1888. James Tynte Agg Gardner presented the recreation ground to Cheltenham Corporation in 1888. He was a brewery owner, mayor of Cheltenham and served for 39 years (in four separate terms) as Conservative MP for Cheltenham. apparently he only made two speeches in the Houase of Commons during that time. The recreation ground merges with Pittville Park on its north side.

Cheltenham houses [127]
Eastholme, Wellington Square, built circa 1870s, is a Victorian house in a Regency Square. Built of red brick with purple brick banding and ashlar dressings, all under a tile roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1388198
Cheltenham is located at the foot of the Cotswold scarp with the small River Chelt flowing through the town. After the discovery of mineral springs in 1716 Cheltenham became a spa town and many Regency houses and other buildings were erected. The town is home to the renowned Cheltenham Festival, four days of horse jump racing culminating in the Gold Cup, held annually in March at the nearby racecourse.
