Suffolk Square
A terrace of 12 houses on the north side of Suffolk Square. The houses were built from 1832 to 1848. The church in the background is now a Zizzi Italian restaurant, the building is the former Church of St James.

Cheltenham buildings [44]
The church of St James later became the parish hall of St Philip and St James and is now the home of an Italian restaurant. Built in 1830 in the Regency Gothic style. After the discovery of mineral springs in 1716 Cheltenham became a spa town and many Regency houses and other buildings were erected. The town is home to the renowned Cheltenham Festival, four days of horse jump racing culminating in the Gold Cup, held annually in March at the nearby racecourse.

Do these cars, parked on Suffolk Square, Cheltenham, belong to local parishioners? No! This church is now part of an Italian restaurant chain. There is a clue in the porch (left) where you can just see a sign ".. ZZI."
