The tall Wellingtonia tree gives its name to this relatively new residential development.
The block of flats behind it were built on the site of a large building known as Danes Court.

Previously a gentleman's residence, then a B&B and finally the outbuildings were used as Barnwood's post office.
Now converted into flats.
The Wellingtonia tree in its garden gives its name to the housing development to the rear.

Open Space at 128 Barnwood Road
This space has remained derelict since the demolition of Oaklands, which stood on this site.
Recent archaeological investigations have identified Roman and mediaeval remains on the site.
