Cheltenham St James' - Gloucester local train near Churchdown
View eastward, towards Cheltenham, Birmingham etc. on four-track joint ex-GW & Midland main lines. The locomotive is Collett '4575' class 2-6-2T No. 5538 (built 7/28, withdrawn 10/61): it worked for many years from the Sub-Shed of Gloucester at Cheltenham and has been preserved by the Dean Forest Railway.

Ex-GW 48XX 0-4-2T running Light Engine near Churchdown
View westward, towards Gloucester on the ex-GW & LMS Joint line Gloucester - Cheltenham (four-track 1942-1967). The little tank engine tootling along home to Gloucester is Collett 48XX 0-4-2T No. 1456 (built as No. 4856 7/35, renumbered 11/46, withdrawn 2/59).
