Tewkesbury seems to be weathering the downturn. Despite a few empty premises it still has traditional delis, pubs, shops and a fantastic second hand bookshop.

Number 15 High Street was built in the early 16th century and refronted in the late 16th century. Timber framed with plaster infill, double jettied to the street, all under a tile roof. There is a through passage on the left and a long timber framed rear wing. The shopfront is 19th century. Number 16 High Street is a 16th century building, refronted in the mid or late 18th century. The front is in brick, the rest timber framed. There is a through passage and an 18th century rear wing. The shopfront is 19th century. A number of early internal features remain. The shopfront is late 19th century with a full width decorative cast-iron cresting. Tag is in a 3-storey black and white building at 15 High Street, formerly the Ancient Grudge hotel and cafe. The 16th century building was Grade II* listed in 1952. A Betfred betting shop is on the right.

The half-timbered facade of Lloyds Bank on Tewkesbury High Street was added in 1921 when the bank made this their HQ in the town.

Numbers 13 and 14 High Street were probably built as a pair of houses but there is a straight join in the brickwork and a break in the roofline. Number 13, to the left, is now incorporated into number 12. Built in the early 19th century, in brick with a tile roof.
