Forest of Dean sheep 1
These animals are free-ranging across the whole forest and are hence well used to people and vehicles! Scene at The Pludds.

Common land at The Pludds
The sight of free range sheep in this part of the Forest of Dean has become a thing of the past since a crackdown on the welfare standards in recent years has led to their culling. See Image taken in 2009. The turned-over soil seen here is a result of the vast increase in the population of wild boar in the forest.
