The two shops are at the northern end of High Street, near Market Place. Shirley's Den at 3 High Street is a craft shop. The premises occupied by Daisy May were formerly occupied by the Forest of Dean Credit Union.

Studio Cinema, Coleford
Located on the west side of High Street next door to the Tourist Information Centre. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3258855 Formerly a drill hall built in 1906 for the volunteer corps, the building's use as a cinema began with Magic Lantern shows. A Magic Lantern projects pictures on slides, or a similar medium, onto a screen.

Forest House Hotel, formerly Tump House
An 18th century, Grade II listed building and former home of metallurgist, David Mushet. He created the Dark Hill Ironworks. His son Robert perfected the Bessemer Process for making steel.
