The Lyd is a small river that rises in the Forest of Dean and flows into the River Severn via a canalised route through Lydney Harbour.

Lloyds TSB Lydney
Bank branch at 55 Newerne Street. I was pleased to find the branch still open for business at 12.30 on a Saturday afternoon (it closes at 1pm on Saturdays) and even more pleased to find an air-conditioned interior to provide a brief respite from a hot day in late June.
