Parkend Railway Station, Gloucestershire
The station has regrown somewhat since the photo was taken. It is the northern terminus of the Forest of Dean Railway.

Parkend Station - end of the line

After much work and restoration, Parkend Station was re-opened to the first regular passenger trains since 1929. The Dean Forest Railway runs on special occasions from Parkend to Lydney Junction.

Parkend Station in the 1990s
The now - restored railway station at Parkend in the Forest of Dean, taken between its closure as a railhead for stone traffic and its reopening as part of the Forest of Dean railway. I've also uploaded a more recent view - Image] - taken a few years ago.
