Windowless window frames in Blakeney
There are four blind windows, two in the middle and two on the right, in these houses in Church Square. This could be a reminder of the measures often taken by householders to reduce their liability under the Window Tax, introduced in 1696 in the reign of King William III, repealed in 1851.
