Former chapel, Newnham-on-Severn
A blue plaque on the building on the left records that Newnham's influential minority of non-conformists built this substantial Congregational Chapel in 1864, having previously met in the Armoury Hall. When the chapel closed about 100 years later, it became the headquarters of the West Gloucestershire Conservative Association. Its current occupier, Cottonwood Home & Furniture, has been here since 2002.
