No view of the Pier View Hotel
The old hotel closed in December, 2020, and has lain empty thus far. There were plans to redevelop it into residential use but they were rejected by the local council last year.

Railway crossing at Sharpness
The line is hardly a busy one but is an important link to the docks. It was a part of the Great Western and Midland Joint Railway, Severn and Wye and Severn Bridge branch.

Dried up trade at the Pier View Hotel
The hotel dates from Victorian times but has now closed around the time of the Covid outbreak in 2020. Its future is now uncertain.
