Bored of boards
Some of the hoardings along Wellington Street have not received any attention at all. Compare with the section not ten metres away at the corner: Image

Much brighter
This section of the boarded-off, derelict site at the corner of Wellington Street and Hampden Way is substantially better for the application of some paint. Compare with the section just around the corner: Image

The Kings Theatre, Gloucester
Located on a right-angle bend in King's Barton Street, between Eastgate Street and Arthur Street. The building was originally a Salvation Army citadel. From the early 1950s it was used as a theatre, home of the Gloucester Operatic and Dramatic Society (GODS). The GODS moved to their new premises, the New Olympus (now The Picturedrome), http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2896795 in 1987. Early that year a group of local enthusiasts saw the potential of the site and a new company was formed, Kingsbarton Theatre Limited. After much work, the new theatre was opened on Saturday September 19th 1987 by the Mayor and Mayoress of Gloucester.

A change of business
This Premier store seems a typical corner shop, but the brewery crest gives the game away. It was, until 2008, the Wellington Arms and named after the famous Duke.
