An old royal residence
The former Royal Hotel here is a little over a century old and used to be one of the city's best. Until the 1980s, the old Midland Railway lines (Bristol and Birmingham) used to run close by here to the large shunting yards and goods station, but a dual carriageway now stands right outside. The hotel has recently been taken over by a law firm, who use it as their head office. See Image] for a close look at the round pinnacle.
