Site of Cam station, 1986
View east in Cam village, where the ex-Midland Coaley (left) - Dursley (right) branch crossed until closure from 12/8/63. The passenger service had ceased from 10/9/62 and on 18/5/94 the main-line station at Coaley that had been closed on 4/1/65 was reopened as 'Cam, for Dursley'.

Still a working textile mill making baizes for tennis balls and snooker tables to name two use. Operated by Winterbotham, Strachan & Playne in conjunction with Lodgemore Mill, Stroud. Much of the mill appears relatively modern and although I have photographs of the old fulling mill section I fear it may have gone. On the River Cam and at least originally used water power.
