The large detached house in Woodend Lane was built as a farmhouse in the late
16th and early 17th century. Grade II (star) listed in 1983 as Steps Farmhouse,
later changed to Steps House. At the October 2012 date of this photo, the house

To Protect and Serve, Cam
The black and white car parked facing the A4135 has a British number plate but
otherwise resembles a North American police car. The words on the car include
PURSUIT CAR and To Protect and Serve, which is similar to the motto of the Los Angeles Police Department, "To Protect and to Serve" and the Chicago Police Department, "We Serve and Protect".
Presumably the owner is a fan of American police cars. Cop this! is above the rear wheel. The car is hardly likely to be a comment about the "mean streets of Cam". On the contrary, I found Cam to be a very pleasant location during my brief visit.
