NEW Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club headquarters
A Category B listed https://portal.historicenvironment.scot/apex/f?p=1505:300:::::VIEWTYPE,VIEWREF:designation,LB19507 baronial villa built by Thomas Gildard for Daniel Walkinshaw in 1857 as Ardenvohr. The Royal Northern Yacht Club was originally based in Rothesay but moved its clubhouse to Ardenvohr 1937. It merged with the Royal Clyde Yacht Club in 1978.

NEW Rhu and Shandon Parish Church
The present Category B listed church https://portal.historicenvironment.scot/apex/f?p=1505:300:::::VIEWTYPE,VIEWREF:designation,LB19498 was built in 1851 by William Spense, with later additions in 1891 and 1938. It replaced the second church on the site, built in 1763, the remains of which are in the churchyard Image This had replaced the original church, built in 1649. The hanging between the organ pipes is made from "prayer ribbons" Image by a local artist, Arian Inglis, who wove the ribbons into the hanging now on display.
