Garelochhead Coach Services bus no.78, Helensburgh ? 1970
The company was based at Garelochhead, as the name indicates, and much of the traffic came from the personnel at Faslane base. In addition, the company ran several local service in Helensburgh, giving good connections with the electric trains to Glasgow, the bus is an AEC Regent V, new in 1968; it was the last double deck bus to be built by AEC.
The railway station stills looks as it did some 50 years ago.
This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
