Last remaining buildings of John Brown's Shipyard
The shipyard officially closed in 2001, but a ship hadn't been built here since 1972. The yard gave the world the QE2 and Queen Mary cruise liners, and the land is being regenerated with office buildings, a leisure complex, and the already completed Clydebank College building. The existing Clydebank town centre, most notably the Town Hall, can be seen in the background.

Remains of the former John Brown's shipyard
The shipyard closed over 30 years ago, and the site has been derelict for many years. Almost everything has now been flattened, but this facade, facing onto the A814, Glasgow Road, still remains - still advertising the company who demolished the rest.
