Neilston Station
This railway to Ayrshire was one of the first operated by the Caledonian Railway. Duplicated by the Glasgow and Southwestern's route it is now closed beyond Neilston which is an outpost of Glasgow's urban railway system.

East Renfrewshire Architecture : The End of The Line at Neilston
Neilston is now the terminus of one of suburban lines on Glasgow's southside. However, when constructed by the Caledonian Railway, the line ran from Glasgow to Ardrossan on the Firth of Clyde, primarily to carry coal traffic from central Scotland to the coast.
