Gate at start of track
The track leads to Snypes Reservoir and Neilston Pad. To the right is large plastic bag for dog walkers to deposit their 'poo bags'. The notice on the gate reads: Neilston Show Gun Dog Scurry £100 Prize to the fastest dog to retrieve two dummies £2 ENTRY All proceeds go to the Baby Care Unit RAH (RAH = Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley)

Nectaring orange-tip
A male orange-tip butterfly, Anthocharis cardamines, nectaring on a dandelion. Female orange-tips do not have orange tips to their wings and are often overlooked.
