McGill's bus Auchenbeck terminus ? 1978
McGill's of Barrhead was one of a number of independent bus operators in the Paisley area, and provided the main services between the two towns. There were two or three terminal points in the Barrhead area, with a frequent service over the combined section between the two towns. (In 2021 the service stills runs every 10 minutes). The bus is a Daimler Fleetline with Alexander bodywork, new in 1971. A feature of the McGill fleet was the almost immaculate condition of its vehicles, noticeable here despite the poor weather. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
