Waterfall flowing into Balgray reservoir
There is only one week between this picture and Image A charming waterfall has been transformed into a torrent; possibly not so unusual a transformation at this time of year.

Burn flows into Balgray Reservoir
A small waterfall is formed where the Brock Burn flows into the Balgray Reservoir on its south side. The footpath round the reservoir crosses it via the bridge above.

Balgray Reservoir
The reservoir is immediately south of Barrhead. It no longer supplies drinking water, but is still maintained by Scottish Water. The water level has been dropped by 7m to enable maintenance and improvements works to be carried out.
