915098 BOMBARDIER H. G. KING ROYAL ARTILLERY 19TH JULY 1941 AGE 20 IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR SON AND BROTHER "UNTIL THE DAY BREAK" Harry Glencaird King was a bombardier in the 43rd Battery, 61st (11th Battalion, The City of London Regiment) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment. He was stationed at Swindon in Wiltshire, which was subjected to heavy German bombing, due to the location of the large railway works there. He died on 19 July 1941 while defending the area. One of 13 Commonwealth War Graves in Mearns Cemetery.
