The former Park Church (originally the UP Church, later Church of Scotland) dates from the 1860s. It ceased its function as a church in the 1990s and is now the Park Centre, which serves as a hall providing accessible accommodation for community groups.

New flats under construction
A new affordable housing development on the site of the former Lairdsland Primary School being constructed by Cruden Building. Part of the Kirkintilloch Town Centre Masterplan, there will be 38 homes containing one and two-bedroomed flats, due to be completed by Spring 2023.
